B.E.M. – A Pair of Barns

Here are two more photos of barns to round out B.E.M. (Barn Emphasis Month) here at My Free Time ūüôā¬† These barns are both located near the Peapatch area of Buchanan County, Virginia.¬† Just driving through areas with old barns is enough enjoyment for me, but being able to photograph and share with others gives me even more enjoyment.

Llama Time

This llama lives on Compton Mountain in Buchanan County, Virginia.  I stopped along the side of the road and snapped a few quick photos.  Curiosity would be a proper description Рfor me and him.

Barn with a Scenic View

This barn is located in the Peapatch area of Buchanan County, Virginia.  Driving along the road near this barn provides lots of places where you can see for very long distances.  I love driving this road.

Barn with Rusty Back

This old barn has probably been patched at some point in time.  The back of the  barn is all rusted tin, but I think it adds to its character.  Taken in Buchanan County, Virginia.

Hannah & Hogan on a Spring Day

These two photos of Hogan & Hannah were made on April 12th, and were taken in Buchanan County, Virginia.  The sky was a beautiful blue, and the temperature was perfect for a little time outside.

Old Chevy Truck

An old Chevy truck, located in Buchanan County, Virginia, provides a sharp contrast between the red of the truck and the budding green leaves here in the early spring season.

Flashback Friday – Hogan at 2005 U.S. Open, Pinehurst

This Flashback Friday post is from the 2005 U.S. Open Championship held at Pinehurst.¬† Hogan and I were there for the Wednesday practice round.¬† Cameras are only allowed during the practice rounds.¬† That was a very long day.¬† We left Radford at 4:00 am, and arrived at the tournament parking area by 9:30 am.¬† We walked the entire course that day, in 90 degree heat, and finally left around 5:00 pm.¬† It’s hard to believe that was already 4 years ago.¬† I was fortunate enough to also be at the 1999 U.S. Open held at Pinehurst.¬† Enjoy the photos, and have a great weekend.
