Winter Fog

This view is COOL, literally!  On my way into work on 2/8/2010, I was marveling at the heavy frost on all the trees.  I turned down a small road hoping to get a close up view of the frost on the field grass, but this is the view that captured my eye.  The temperature was in the low 20’s, and the nearby New River was creating some great fog.  My guess is that the fog was then condensing and freezing on all the vegetation, and the end result was, well….this.

Snowy Days & Great Food

Okay, this might not be your idea of “Great Food”, but at our house, it surely is.  We just love to have popcorn with a great movie, or even just a good movie.  The oft-used phrase for our house is “Let’s eat Star Wars and watch popcorn”.  I love it.  Now just throw together some homestyle vegetable soup, and we’re in business.  Let it snow.  Make sure you click on the photos to view them larger, and possibly to make you hungry. 🙂  I smell popcorn.

Sand Dunes in the Mountains – NOT

This day started with bright sunshine, and mild breezes.  Driving to work today was going to be filled with breathtaking views all around me (every day is like that for me, he he).  As I was leaving the subdivision, I saw this view and it reminded me so much of an ocean side scene.  Of course I had to use some imagination since it was 28 degrees – and this was snow, not sand.  Anyway, I loved the view of windblown snow as it surrounded some of the tall grasses in this field.

Snow Sparkles

Can you see the sparkles?  I love looking at them in the bright sunshine.  I find it a little difficult to capture their splendor in a photo though.  This attempt was taken on 2/1/2010.  Click on the image to get a closer look.

Sweeping Sunset

This beautiful sunset caught my eye on the way home from work on the first day of February, 2010.  Just beautiful.

Snowy Deer

Deer are everywhere around our house, and with all the snow on the ground, they’re even easier to see.  This was taken on 2/3/2010.

Hannah Mae – A Snow Girl

Hannah Mae loves the snow.  She says it’s her favorite season.  Here are a couple photos of her playing outside on February 3, 2010.
