This is my son Hogan. Photos are a “serious” thing to him – meaning that he hardly ever smiles for them. At least he’s not forcing a smile. I’ll keep trying, but I think this captures his “okay, I’ll have my picture taken” mood. Taken on June 11, 2010.

Got a child who’s growing up too fast? Then you need to capture that time in a “serious” portrait? Contact me.

Just posted an engagement session over on the photography blog. Check it out when you get a chance. Their wedding is on June 5th, so the wedding photos will be following soon. Here’s a sample of what you will see over there, and then one that you won’t see there. There’s even one over there with a barn, which I always love to photograph.

This is Mya. It seems that I’ve taken hundreds of photos of her. Well, actually I have. From newborn to one-year old portraits, and plenty of quick shots of her at church, I’ve got a bunch of her. What a great album that will make someday. Here’s one of those quick shots from May 23, 2010. She is so beautiful!

This iris was almost ready to bloom. I just love the way it’s so compact, compared to how it looks the next day after it opens into a big flower – looking nothing like it does in this stage. This was taken on May 10, 2010.
