Snow Flowers

Today’s weather in the New River Valley saw temperatures climb into the 70’s, and the forecast is for more of the same the next few days.  Wow, what unusual weather for the end of winter.  The photos below show how much different the weather was exactly one week ago…about 2 inches of snow.  The two images below (taken on March 5, 2012) show some of the snow when I went through Blacksburg at lunch time…much of the snow had melted.  The pansies and daffodils looked a bit out of place with snow around.
